Showcase on Moses Exemplars

Director, Dr. Trisha Wheelock

In March, co-exemplars Rev. Nicole Woodley and Rev. Grant Woodley (who also co-pastor, co-farm, co-parent, and embody innovation), talked about traditioned innovation and how to think like a farmer. The cohort read L. Gregory Jones’ book, Navigating the Future and explored how to both hold on to the meaningful traditions of the past while being ready to embrace changes for the future.

As one participant remarked, "I didn't realize how stressful being a farmer was. How many things are constantly changing, and farmers have no control over them. Like the markets, commodity prices, the weather. Grant and Nicole's presentation really opened my eyes."

In April, Rev. Sarah Ciavarri discussed her new book, Finding Our Way to the Truth: Seven Lies Leaders Believe and How to Let Go of Them

One pastor said, "Sarah's book was accessible and easy to understand. I saw myself in it a lot, and will have to re-read it several times, gaining new insights each time, I'm sure. The things in the book are definitely applicable to my work life."

You can also listen to a podcast Sarah recorded with the Moses Project here.
