2020-2021 Virtual Kick Off

On August 3-5, 2020, twenty new pastors and four mentors from eight states participated in the Moses Project Virtual Kick Off. For three afternoons, the pastors engaged in teaching sessions with Rev. Dr. Ken Jones of Grand View University and Rev. Dr. Richard Lischer of Duke University. Worship services were conducted by Dr. Michael Elsbernd (GV Music.)

 

The new cohort connected with mentors and colleagues during break-out sessions, enjoyed Grand View swag and treats, and a daily “mystery box” filled with surprise gifts and a devotion. In the event evaluation, one pastor described the Kick Off as, “revitalizing, captivating, and hope-giving.”

 

This year's pastors serve in many Midwest ELCA Synods (Central States, Nebraska, SE Iowa, Western Iowa, NE Iowa, La Crosse Area - Wisconsin, SW MN, Western North Dakota, and South Dakota.)  We look forward to the next ten months together.
